ACHIEVEMENT AND ACCOUNTABILITY

Test Scores

Charter schools in Boston raise student achievement annually at a rate higher than all district public schools according to a recent report by the Boston Foundation.

Closures

Charter school closures are evidence of accountability in action. As of February 2009, only six Massachusetts charters had ever been closed - half of those were closed for academic deficiencies.
