ACHIEVEMENT AND ACCOUNTABILITY

Test Scores

Despite serving those less-advantaged, more charter schools in Nevada made accountability targets in 2007–2008 than conventional public schools, with 74 percent compared to 62 percent making Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP).

Closures

Charter school closures are evidence of accountability in action. As of February 2009, seven Nevada charters have been closed.
